We're Adding 2 New Products!

Yay! We're adding two new products to our site some time this week (stay tuned to this blog on their official launch).

The first is a 100% cotton eye mask with an elastic strap in the HELLA GOOD colors of pink and brown with the words "Sexy Mo Fo" embroidered on the front. Super cute! It's exclusive to the HELLA GOOD store and complements our "Sexy Mo Fo" bath scrubby.

The second is a cooling eye mask made by a London-based company. The mask, adorably named Hangover From Hell (pictured above), is for the morning after a wild night and you need to de-puff those eyes. It's also meant to complement our coffee-based bath scrubby, "The Morning After."

Stay tuned!

Don't Hassel the Hoff

The weather has finally cooled down! YAY!

I spent a great deal of time indoors making bath products and watching a lot of TV. I am a fan of "America's Got Talent" and I actually like David Hasselhoff as a judge. I also spent some time watching him sing on You Tube. They make me giggle. Here's one of my favorites:

Du by Davel Hasselhoff

He's like a German Elvis, no?

To celebrate the break in the weather, I think I'm going to get myself a "Don't Hassel the Hoff" T-shirt. I want one really badly.

Okay, you can make fun of me now.

Hot Hot Hot!

It's way too hot in Los Angeles. It's over 100 degrees and I feel like I'm melting. I really admire women and men who look like they're dry as powder and their shirt collar doesn't even look wet. I'm the one who's patting at her face. I know I'm in bad shape the minute I feel the beads of sweat on my upper lip. Lovely, I know.

The worse part is slipping into a hot vehicle. Ohmygoodness, it makes me feel like I'm going to die until the A/C kicks in. There's a product called AutoCool that supposedly keeps your car a cool 70 degrees so you never to deal with a boiling hot interior. Does anyone know if it works? I searched the Internet for reviews but can't find any. I am *this close* to buying it. If I do, I will definitely give a review. Eh, it is only $14.99 so I may just splurge.

With the sun this hot, don't forget to put SPF all over your body and to keep your make-up to a minimum. Wear a large brim hat if you have it, or buy yourself this pretty parasol that we posted about on my other blog, Rare Bird Finds.

Edited to add: Thank you, Selene, for finding reviews for AutoCool. Turns out it's junk. Wahh. It did sound too good to be true :(

Rubber Ducks

I'm a fan of the rubber duck and I think it's because as a kid I never had one - but I always did! Here are a few rubber ducks I discovered that are different and would certainly make bath time more fun. There's the personal massager rubber duck, there are designer ducks, there's the glow-in-the-dark duckie, there's the duck radio, there's the color- changing duck, there's the bling-bling duck, there's the mood light duck, and finally there are the devil ducks.

And, for those HELLA GOOD LLC customers who spend $35 or more at www.hellagoodproducts.com - they still get a mini rubber duckie in their order.

My Apology

I gave a presentation last week and an encore presentation this week on the topic of "How To Start Your Own Online Business." It's such a broad topic, so I gave a basic overview. Each topic, such as marketing for example, could've been its own presentation. However, I realized while talking to my audience about blogs, I felt a pang of guilt because I was breaking the very cardinal sin I was telling them to avoid - don't post sporadically, keep your blog content fresh and updated.

I apologize for posting sporadically. Sometimes I just don't have time to post. Other times I feel like what I do have to say is probably horribly boring.

So, I am going to work on being a better poster. I should practice what I preach :)

Ow! Pierced Eye Glasses

I wear glasses. I love my glasses, actually. Just today someone asked me if I would consider Lasik and my answer is no only because I've worn glasses since I was in the second grade and they are a part of who I am. They're also my security blanket.

However, I recently heard of a dude who invented pierced glasses. That's right. They pierce your eye glasses to your nose bridge. The lens are attached to the piercing with a super strong magnet so you can remove them before bedtime. Although the FAQ page says it doesn't hurt, it still looks painful to me, but I am a wimp. I may love eye glasses, but I will never pierce them onto my face.

The final product is still being worked on but will be launched soon. Expected cost is up to $100.
